Clandestine Contemplations – Battle of the Venues

Well the first thing I have to mention today is that I have a name for my articles now! Congratulations to Lupercl for coming up with this, and thanks to all that entered. Unfortunately I can’t remember who did enter, and in the switch over the original article with its comments isn’t around any more, so please comment on this one. I have lots of prizes and given there weren’t that many entrants I reckon I can spare something for everybody.

The last of the unknown columns.

Well as of next week I will have picked a title for my column. Exciting isn’t it? Well maybe not, but that does mean that anybody who has an idea should let me know somehow, either through the comments or even a message on this fine site if you are shy and don’t want anybody else to know. It will also be my last chance to pick up some free cards for the lucky winner this weekend at the Loughborough Battle of the Venues. I hope to see some of you there.

UK Events: Battle of the Venues – Loughborough

After last years success this year’s battle of the venues will again be featuring a Vs Tournament.

The event will take place on November 22nd at Loughborough Univeristy.

The doors will open at 9am and the tournament registration sign in will be 9:30 am. The doors will close around 10pm, or when we finally fall over.

There will be a door cover charge of £2 per person.

The formats are yet to be determined but I hope to update this weekend with more detail.
Although as it is a battle of venues (gaming clubs/comic book stores/ etc.) we are hoping to introduce some team play and might cap the day off with a doubles game.
