Marvel Evolution set review: Purifiers

Today’s review is the short stack.  The Purifiers team only has six real character cards to choose from, but some of them are pretty interesting.  The team should seem familiar to anyone who saw X2.  The Purifiers weren’t actually in the movie, but one of their head honchos, William Stryker, was the antagonist, so building this deck is as close as you’re going to get to acting out the movie!  Plus, we’ve got some returning powerhouses that you might be interested in.

Sweep The Leg: MEV first play – Hunter

Finally, I’ve managed to play a few games with Marvel Evolution!  Last night I managed to get some time online for a few games of VS. System on Magic Workstation.  Normally I like to wait until I get my hands on the cards themselves before embarking on a voyage of discovery, but with the import situation for MEV looking a little shaky, I decided to go for it.

With the patch downloaded (if you scroll down and look to the right of this post you’ll see the file – provided by Flashback81), I decided to put together a simple deck deck and give it a run out.  Although Black Box had just been errated I’m aware that MEV still holds some massively powerful tricks – Exiles to name but one.  I decided to step aware from the obvious lure of the power-play and look at something a little more subtle - Weapon X.
